Hi guys what are your thoughts on the njd datamoon,is it any good ,is it bright,is it a top class dmx light.
I have seen them advertised at a pair for £250 including case and controller.is this a good buy

The deal sounds about right I had datamoons for years and I love them fabulous effect well worth the money ..... there are questions about the chinese build quality but I never had a single problem with mine and you wont hear a bad word from me about them. I had 4.

I would however recommend you looking at the evl spin 250 british built i believe and now the same price as the datamoon.

I appear to have had every single lighting effect that you're enquiring about tonight:o

They are very bright, probably brighter than the Magic Gobos mentioned in another thread. The only problem I've found with Datamoons is there is too much white or open gobo.

If you link 2 together, it really looks like someone has turned the main lights on at a function, when it happens.

datamoons not bad for a semi intelligent effect infact they were one of the first gobo moon flowers produced but correct me if i am wrong there not seperate colour and gobo but bright enough

No, they haven't got separate wheels, but then they are a budget effect.

Just bought three of them and they look fantastic!

Bright, vibrant with great rich colours

Can't wait to gig them!

Evl and lfx are all built in china along with all the other lighting effects
