Help Identifying a DJ Stand

I bought a DJ stand for £30 yesterday, it needs repainted as its old etc, but i wondered if anyone could help me id the make etc

Prolight.

Giraffe have thumbscrews to fix the crossmembers to the legs & Ultimax have all in one crossmembers which screw in. On Prolight stands the crosmember just slots in.

Think you would be better off with proper fireguard a child could crawl through that.

I have both the 4 foot and 6 foot prolight stands and the crossmembers have thumbscrews. They can become detached quite easily... looks like the secondhand stand in the picture has lost its thumbscrews. They help stabilise the stand so might be worth picking up some spares. You can get them in B+Q down the same aisle you find things like knobs and hinges.

Neither of the prolight stands we had (now replaced), had anything other than the drop in style as shown in the photo (a length of box section welded to the legs that the L shaped cross member slotted into). (They may have since updated the design, but on the 2 sets we had there were no screws in the base section other than the ones for the uprights of the goalpost part)

The Giraffe (soon to be replaced) has (for want of a beter word) bolts welded to the legs, which a slot in the L of the crossmember goes over & a wingnut type thing tightens them together.

The Ultimax (current stands) have the bolts on the crosmember, which pass through holes in the legs & knobs screw over them.



Aside from all that, the crossbar & uprights are a dead giveaway that it's Prolight, Ultimax & Giraffe are far more substantial.

I just looked on the Prolight website and it doesn't even say on there!

I would email them to be on the safe side.
