Improved website - opinions please!

Following my recent request for opinions on my website, I've made a number of improvements incorporating many of your suggestions, and I'd be really grateful for your comments & opinions on the updated site.

The main improvements are:

1) New colour scheme. White text on blue replaced with dark grey on light grey.

2) Frames removed & header blended into web pages.

3) Technical speak on disco page replaced with more customer friendly text.

4) Much improved FAQ page, with less scrolling required.

5) Contact page has new query form with no warning messages when you submit the query, and new "message sent" confirmation page introduced. Off-putting security message removed. New option to click a link which opens their email program.

Just one odd comment - your home button doesn't work on the home page. Might not seem obvious, but it just adds the finishing touch.

The home button isn't meant to work on the home page. None of the pages link to themselves - that's the way it was designed.

I'm not sure about having my picture on the home page, it's already on the top of the quiz page, and I think once on the site is more than enough! :D :D :D

I think it's excellent, can't fault it at all. The only thing I would have added was a gallery, or even just a few more pictures of what you can do.

Whoaaaaa Darren...you must be Psychic...because I've already decided to do that!

When I first had the site built, I didn't have a digital camera, so I just used a couple of stock pics (better than no pics at all!).

I got a decent camera last year, so now I just have to get into the habit of taking it to some gigs, so I can get some pics for the website.

Unfortunately, that's easier said than done - because when you get to my age your memory starts to go, and also...errrr...your memory starts to go :p

I dunno, I think it's quite clever iconography. Given the comments elsewhere about equipment not being the selling point keeping your imagery simple and uncluttered might be better. A picture of bigger speakers won't convey sound quality but those two lights convey the idea of bigger, brighter, showier, which is what you wanted.

But rightly or wrongly, Rob is selling two different sized shows and I would have thought that there needs to be something to show the difference.

Always be wary of those that seek the spotlight :p

My thought is to keep those light icons and set them up as links to pages that have a few photos and a quick description of each system. Maybe monitor your site to see how many people actually click the links to see whether it's even worth having the info there...

A couple of Punter's eye view pics of the system - one with house lights on and the other with house lights off. The description should avoid the specs but explain that the smaller system is right for up to X number of people, and the larger system is right for X number of people and above and functions with particular musical requirements (loud, bass-heavy, etc.).
