Hi
I am new here. I would be grateful for help.
I have an old SB Live card (EMU10K1 Chip) and have downloaded a driver which now works.
I am setting up my MIXXX under Windows XP but I cannot get my headphones to work from the black jack plug.
I have the speakers working from the green plug.
Both player 1 and player 2 work through the speakers but nothing from the headphones.
Thank you for considering my problem.
Tom

Nightmare! It will be MIXXX that won't like it, regardless of what it tells you.
I'm a PCDJ user and the different versions have different needs:(
I got the vrm version to work with a SB live PCI card in a manner similar to what you want i.e. one player from the green socket and the other from the black socket.
I bought a USB SB live 24bit assuming being a SB Live it would be the same.
No chance! PCDJ won't do multi output from the USB SB Live for anyone, even though it recognises the additional channels:mad:

The best I can suggest is to find a user forum and ask for recommendations of what soundcards work how you want them to work.

Another PCDJ issue: The old version worked well with 2 identical bog standard sound cards, internal or external, whereas the newer vrm version won't as they removed support for 2 separate cards:eek: What's that about then? Upgrade the software and bingo, you need to buy a hard to come by multi output soundcard:mad:

True, it depends what you are after.
I specifically wanted USB Maya44 and/or Gigaport. Finally got both, but seem to be quite rare or stupidly over priced.
When I bought my Maya44 USB over a year ago it was on back order for over a month.
There do seem to be a few more around now though.
