Looking for starcloth...

... 6 foot by 2 foot.

Can't find one anywhere... :(

I have two prolight deckstands - the 4 footer and the 6 footer. The base stands at 3 foot, but I like to pop a few effects under the deck at the front like chaser spots, haze machine etc.. so don't want a 3' drop cloth.

Currently using a PVC banner which is fine for day to day gigging but I've a couple of posh weddings coming up.

Thought about making something LED lightboxy to hang on the frontage but a) want it to look good and b) don't really have the room to carry anything that size and solid.

Those of you with a 3' drop cloth... do you think it would look OK if the bottom 12" was folded back on itself? It that possible?

Any other suggestions?

Yeah, have done this a few times with my 6m x 3m cloth.

costs very little as blue or white 200 LED fairy lights are peanuts and any good material shop will have black wool or something similar

They're the people who make the booths. Very nice, but very expensive and I found them to be a bit heavy.

HT - thanks for the links buddy, but these are all 2m x 1m or bigger. I'm looking for 2m x 0.65m or similar :(

And I'm not really into making my own. Home-made is OK for stuff that's not on show. Thanks anyway for the suggestions. Looks like I might have to get a standard sized one, fold it under and hope it doesn't look too bad...

OK so it looks like I'm heading off down the "get a standard starcloth and fold it to suit" route.

What's the difference between the top two items on THIS (http://www.djkit.co.uk/acatalog/Star_Cloth_Background_Systems_from__149.html) page?

Obviously one's got less LED's and the second one is 20cm wider but if I'm wanting to cover up the front of a 6' or a 4' deck stand then either will do?? On the 6' stand there'll be no wraparound but on the 4' stand there will be a foot on each end to wrap.

What's the "bar" that's mentioned. Is this simply a weight in the bottom of the cloth to pull it taught?

Jamie, where did you get your 6x3 starcloth. I have seen them for £400 but was after something a bit cheaper.

I know cheap is not always best but I am on a budget.

Cheeky begger! I'll put my home made fibre optic starcloth against on of the cheap and nasty led retail versions available.

Okay, It may not be up to the S&H standard, but their version of my starcloth would cost about £700. Mine cast me £160 and about 16 hours to make.
