A couple of questions

Morning Folks

I have just purchased a new speaker set up and now have 2x subs and 2x tops.
Now the first question is which order do I plug the speakon cables into my system? Is it into the subs first and out to the tops or visa versa and does it effect the sound?

My second question is, after mounting my tops using the joining speaker poles my top speakers are very wobbly even though they are on the lowest hole settings?
I have tried to wrap a layer of gaffa tape around the speaker pole but dont seem to help is this the norm?

Subs then tops (Class D subs have the crossover in them don't they? If you go tops first it won't work)

Thanks Steve didnt want to mention Class D again as people are getting ferd up with hearing about them, did you say that you run Class D's? and do you use two seperate amps?

I don't have Class D subs, but my Yamaha amps have high & low filters on them (in effect built in cross over in the amp) I can send a bass signal from one channel & mid / high from the other, or (having 2 of the same amps) one amp for bass & the other for mid / high.

As I run my mixer in mono I can vary what I do.......

1 amp running all 4 speakers (4ohms (1 channel bass the other mid / high))
2 amps running 1 running left hand speakers, 1 right (1 channel bass the other mid / high)
2 amps 1 bass, 1 mid / high
