We were in South Cerney last night and just had this back from the client.

I have never had a big party before and was quite nervous before the event but as soon as you turned up I knew everything was going to be brilliant. My venue was quite small but despite this I didn’t even notice the guys set up and before I knew it I was boogie-ing on the dance floor! The kit looked great, the guys were amazing fun, the music was bang on, and I felt really special on my birthday....of course my vanilla ice rap will go down in history..ooops

I read the testimonials on the web site and thought they were probably all made up as they were so good.....now I know they are genuine as you were absolutely BRILLIANT! THANKS

 Think we might add this one :)

I honestly can't fathom that. Either they're real and you book the people, or you ask to see the originals, or you believe them to be fake and you don't book

The funny thing is that this piece of text is also at the top of the page:

The following testimonials are from clients who have also agreed to act as a referee so if you are still not sure we can supply contact details to allow you to take up your own references.

So if we were making them up we would soon get caught out. The sad thing is very few people ask to take up references :(

Even giving contact details for ex-customers can be faked, they could be people you know who have agreed to go along with it. The general public can be quite untrusting, and who's to blame them for the amount of cowboys/con artists going about?

So I wouldn't worry too much about that side of it, and focus on other selling points. Out of curiosity, do these referees not mind acting as such? It is a potential inconvenience for them?
