Bit the bullet and moved over to Napster for my downloads.

Is it possible to convert the wma file to MP3 and how or what to I need to do it and does it reduce the quality?

Burn it to a cd, and then rip back. Thats the way I do it.

Mmmm, not really the answer I was looking for - particularly as I am currently working my way through my collection to catalogue!

Officially, you'd need to be paying copyright if you are changing the format of a song and making a copy of it.

I shouldn't worry too much about it, until the powers that be sort themselves out and bring out the much talked about licences that will cover this sort of thing.

Ah, but won't I be removing the copy protection during the conversion?

Makes no difference, you're are still making a copy and/or changing the format.

Could you not just use the disk writer output plugin on winamp, and run them through that?
