Mods and Rockers

Did a brilliant gig on Friday. It was for a Rotary and they decided to have a themed Mods and Rockers night. Everyone came in fancy dress as either a mod or a rocker, I played suitable music from the sixties and even the meal was retro basket meal with chips followed by black forest gateaux! Usually Rotary do's are a bit tame but I guess that they are now predominantly baby boomers and they went for this one in a big way and danced all night. I must admit it is a little while since I did a sixties night and it was a refreshing change.

Nice one. At the end did they all head off to Brighton for a fight on the beach :D

I actually said on the night that I started djing in the mods and rocker era (people laughed coz they thought I was joking) and that I couldnt possibly have played to an audience of mixed mods and rockers and had the variety of music which I played without having a major punch up. I dont think there is quite so much violence these days at discos (any is too much) and that obviously the audience had all grown up and matured!
