Phew, knackered!
First wedding of the season successfully completed last night with my lovely new light show.
Have to say, particularly to the "it would be just as good putting the house lights on" datamoon brigade, that the three datamoons were absolutely fantastic, bright clear and filled the dance floor - unlike any of my previous goboflower variations. Exactly what I wanted and I would say absolutlely perfect in a "no smoke machine" venue. Or they would have been if this nugget here hadn't left all the spare lamps (and I bought a pack of ten) at home. It did however quite nicely demonstrate my "they don't care about the lights" theoty as nobody even noticed that two out of the three were out!
Then there was the I-Show 6b's. How good???? It was a big venue last night and to say these babies were room fillers in an understatement. Absolutely superb and gave the "all one colour" effect I was particularly looking for. Somewhat confused during set up that there only seemed to be a slave 1 and 2 setting when I had expected a 3 and 4 to allow a 3 or 4 unit show. There was also one of the units that I had rigged as the fourth slave, but insisted on being a master all night - maybe next week he can try being the master and I'll see if the other will slave - unless someone knows something I don't?
Otherwise, full dance floor, loads of mad ushers and best men and an odd, sultry looking bride, who danced loads, said very little to me and didn't even say goodnight, let alone thank you when I passed her three times in the corridor at the end - how rude (or how drunk).
Nearly forgot to say - the Carsbro Gamma 8 actives for the wedding speaches worked a treat to. Didn't need to worry about my stand mounting in the end as there were very convenient window ledges. Also had the added bonus of there being a toastmaster, so handed over the mic to him and he did the business!!!
Oh, and I forget the camera, so no new show piccys, sorry - will do some next week (smoke too then!)
