disco and karaoke

do you think disco and karaoke together work my view is disco on its own and karaoke on its own work but put them together i dont think it works

i would say disco on it's own, well down here i think karaoke has died a death.
So much so, I've sold my karaoke equipment anyway!!!

Sometimes it works a charm, other times it doesn't. The trouble with karaoke is that there are too many self-centred singers, who don't care about everyone else in the room, and just want to get up singing all night. This means that they are putting pressure on the host, while the host is playing to a full dancefloor. It is also a major help when the singers go for songs that everyone can dance to, but more times than not it is a boring downtempo Neil Diamond track or something.

i would of kept it just in case some one asks you for a karaoke what you might find now you have sold it you might get lots of people asking if you do them

I haven't been booked for a karaoke for about 18 months (hence the decision to sell) Karaoke has gone ever so quiet round here...

Occasionally you get the Mariah Carey 'wannabes' at discos asking if they can sing along to the vocal track. Turns out they can never sing as well, when you ask them to give you a demo without the mic!!!

Weird - i do just as many karaoke these days as discos and would say it's far from dieing a death in fact i'd say it's probably more popular now than ever... Perhaps its just different areas...
