More problems with the Antari Fazer!

I've done everything now: cleaned it through with distilled water and with vinegar. Changed the fluid completely, yet still it's output is about 70% of what it was when I bought it - won't even fill up the garage now! So bad that I have been using a fogger (F-80 clone made by soundlab I think that I picked up for £10 at a car boot!). Really don't want to go back down the fogger route again long term.

Does the Fazer sound like it's dead (which would really jar me as it's only about 2 years old). I think Dragon has one, so interested to see what he thinks.

If I HAVE to replace, I guess it's time to get a propper hazer rather than this pretender. Current contenders seem to be the Antari z-300 and the Hydrahaze (although I have never heard of this make, but is does look very like the Antari model!). Any other suggestions?

I think the pump on your hazer 'is on it's last legs'. Sounds like it's time to buy a new hazer.

The same thing happened to my last one....I feel your pain. :)


Tip: Use a good fan placed directly behind your fogger. It'll disperce the fog to give a more translucent coverage, much like haze. Poor mans haze effect, but effective till you get around to making a new purchase. ;)

Unfortunetly Hazers don't last forever (like humans :P) and from what you say it sounds like you need to contact the local funeral director. - or disco shop, whichever.

stupid question rice but have you reset it ??? if it is the same model as mine you can have it giving out bursts from 3 seconds to about a minute or so? just trying to cover all bases.

I am thinking about getting a fog cooler as to make my foog heavier and for it to stay upon the floor area as to counter the fire alarm situation or resort to a hazer any comments as to wether its worth it?????

I have heard that Hazers are a tad less reliable than a fog machine

Those machines use normal fluid, and ice. The ice is meant to make the smoke "hug" the floor, although as it reaches warmer enviroments (i.e. middle of the dance floor) the smoke rises and thus....

Back to the fan then - used to do this before I bought a fazer!

Dragon - yes, have tried shortening and lengthening the output time, no difference.

So what make and model hazer would you all recomend?

I currently use an antari z300 (mk2), which appears to be nothing more than a smoke machine with built in fan. I spoke to the tech guy at a well known disco retailers a while back, regarding the differences between ataris haze fluid and regular antari smoke fluid. He told me there was very little difference apart from the haze fluid being more diluted (i.e. more water added). I got the sense that the antari hazer isn't really a real haze machine in the true sense of the word. More a poor mans imitation. That's just my personal opinion, I may be completely wrong. I still to this day use a fan behind my antari hazer to give a more widespread effect than the unit offers.

I think my next haze purchase will be something along the line of Martin's Technohaze.
