As this is an international forum, perhaps it would be a good idea to put one of the banners from www.findmadeleine.com (http://www.findmadeleine.com) into the rotation of banners displayed throughout the forum?
For example this one: -
http://www.bringmadeleinehome.com/img/maddy450x124Banner.jpg
Also, I've created a "corner banner" which is fairly easily added into any of your own websites, it's unobtrusive and shouldn't block any content. You can see an example at www.elitedj.co.uk (http://www.elitedj.co.uk). If anyone wants this (along with instructions how to add it to your own site) just post here.

Well done Dragonfly :approve:
On an easy scale of 1 - 10 to add to any site this is probably a 2. It won't cost you a penny, not even for bandwidth (the image is on my server).

What a great idea Marc. I'll see what can be done in regards to adding a banner into the forum's banner rotation.
In the mean-time, feel free to make the corner banner live on my site if you've got a spare minute, Marc. Nice work. :approve:

I've applied it to all public pages. Let's hope you're asking me to remove it soon.

I hope so too. I can't even imagine the kind of hell the family is going through just now. :(

This has been arranged. I've had to chop and change the banner slightly as there's a set size for forum banners, but it should be live here on the forum's banner rotations pretty soon. Thanks for suggesting it. :beer1:

Well done Shaun :)
While the money and messages of support they get is all well and good, what's really needed is for the public awareness and momentum of the story to be kept at the level it is now. This is something we can all (as website owners) do for very little effort and no cost.
While my instructions posted earlier are very easy to follow, they were for adding the banner to one page at a time. I've come up with a much better solution which adds the corner banner on-the-fly to every page. This uses a "PHP Wrapper" as described here (http://www.devpapers.com/article/323). Don't worry, it's still very easy to apply, but I'd recommend it over the original method only if you understand what a .htaccess file is as its a more technically advanced method.

Thanks for the offer, I think it's the way BT Office is set so....

This seemed the easy option that the BT Office accepted so have placed that on my little web site....hope you don't mind.

This topic was started as a means to offer support and help to the family of the little missing girl. To keep it on topic I've split the ongoing discussion that was in here into a separate topic. Please continue that discussion HERE (http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=7005)
Cheers.

Hmmm, I've just double checked the UBB code in your signature and everything is entered correctly. You've got the same code in your sig as I have in mine, yet the banner is working for me.
I recall we had this problem with hyper-linked images last year after a forum upgrade. Not sure what was done to rectify it. Maybe one of the other admins will be able to provide a solution?.
Sorry I can't be of any further help.

on my sig permissions it says
