I have a web page made by myself through BT Office :o it's not good i know but did this in the short term.
Now i've got the eqipment i want to start to get noticed and have come to realise to get noticed in this game you need to get ahead in the game and that includes the good old World Wide Web. I've tried some of the free listings but would like to go a step further.

I'm at a total lost with the following -
Web Hosting
Search Engines
Web Design

In fact anything to do with this....

I got an e-mail from some one when i first got going on this forum but choose to ignore...how stupid.

I know you guy's - Shaun / Marc are pretty good at what you do ..so was woundering if you would like to help, or enlighten me - paid of course, unless you wish to do for free...just joking.

What i need to know is cost of things, break down - what do i get for my dosh and such like...

No need to post reply to this if you don't want to - you can send an e-mail via the web page.

Sorry anybody else that wishes to partake in the knowledge of the www feel free.

I know absolutely nothing with regards to actually putting a site together, graphic design is the extent of my talents. Marc is definitely the person to speak to.

Unfortunately, asking for prices for a service from an individual is no longer permitted on the forum. Drop Marc a PM and he'll sort you out. You won't find a more skilled and helpful person. :)

There's a helpful post here (http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=5810) which touches on some of your questions.

I notice that your site is built using BT's built-in website builder. These are great to start with but you've probably realised already that they soon become quite restrictive. It's a natural progression to move onto something more "hands on" which doesn't need to cost you anything - there are plenty free HTML editors available such as CoffeeCup HTML Editor (http://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/) (never used it myself but heard it's OK), then of course you might find that Microsoft Frontpage appeared on your machine when you installed MS Office, personally I don't like it but it does the job.

Obviously I wouldn't miss the opportunity to sell you my Hosting Services (http://www.djbids.co.uk/auctiondetails.php?itemname=1-Months-Web-Hosting&id=182), as part of that I'd take a look at your website and give it a small "makeover" (note NOT a redesign, more a tidy up).

Anyway, as Shaun said, drop me a PM if you're interested and we can take it from there.
