Had this from my pc tonight. So bad i swopped to other pc.
I,m using a Maya 44 PCI card. The noise was from both channels, not cables as other pc was fine.
Any thoughts what may cause this. Is it possible for two channels to go down at the same time. PC is disco dedicated running XP and pcdj.

Is that an external sound device?? Did it happen only when playing both channels at once from PCDJ???

Sound card perhaps. Computers these days seem to be so small its hard to fault find. Just replace, its just as cheap. My Serato seems to sometimes have the crackle when you go hard on the processor.

Dont think it is sound card as when i swopped it with a known good one i got same problem. I,m tending to think its a faulty m/b or could a faulty hdd cause this? Its doing my head in now. Think i,ll put said sound card in good pc run it see what happens. Problem seems to occur after about an hour of running. Pc not hot so isnt that. Its not PCDJ as playing win media does the same thing.

Could be the PSU in the PC, could be worth swapping.
Steve - Those MAYA44's aren't that cheap! They are a professional card, I'd like to be certain it was faulty before I bought a new one!
