Dear All,

I have purchased a lighting gantry, its pretty good for the money I paid, any way, basically I'm not sure how to place them, or whether some more lighting would improve the situation.

Currently it has 6 spaces, three on each length so:

space | space | space | - (connection) - | space | space | space

And I have 3 GVG-313 lights and a collection of various other items (not to be placed on) as well as a small budget :), any ideas for something to add? and how to place. It has been:

GVG-313 | space | GVG-313 | - (connection) - | space | space | GVG-313

Although really, should fill it better, possibly another GVG-313 maybe a good idea? Thoughts?

Thanks

First things first....get some G clamps, this will allow you to hang one of your lights dead center (well close anyway).

I'd look at a pair of Acme Pumas (Moonflower like things) and 2 LED Par cans.

Puma's (2 here for £200) http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=DP29020

LED Pars (1 for £40)

You can then add a DMX controller (if you'd like to control all your lights properly) I recommend the
Chauvet DMX-55
Acme Master
*Unknown* Scan Master (available from Terralec)

All of which are actually the same device, shop around for prices.

Ok, thanks alot for that, will keep my eye for them. At the moment, the lighting I do have can be hooked up with DMX 512, so putting them all together would be great.

The G-clamps should be on there way, selling a few bits and bobs, ie my "fanastic" skytec 512 dmx controller and will go with your recommendation. Another purchase is the dmx leads to connect the lighting I have togther (as you can make one primary and slave the others) should be good.

I've found the same controller recently for under £100

Let me dig it out.
