Ok, so some of you expressed your intrest in an e-book about learning DMX.
Now recently I have been spending some time on YouTube, and as some of you will be aware there is a couple of people "ellaskins" and "briansredd" who run djtutor.com.
Now I'm quite interested (I will put this too them shortly) in filming a set of DMX and lighting videos for djtutor.com.
Now is this this something you guys are interested in, and if so, what would you like them to be based upon (i.e. subjects)?
I have some plans for videos on
- Understanding the concept lighting, and how to use it to it's full potential.
- The ins and outs of DMX, and what it actually is
- Complete programming and running guide to the DMX-55 and similar consoles.
- Pehaps programming one, maybe two different software packages too (Das Light and Freestyler? - Your opinions please)
- Load and Safety Issues
- Electrical issues
- Maybe a maitience/cleaning video?
What else would you like to see?
I might also put together a DVD together of all of them for say £5 off DJ Bids if anyone would be interested?

Well after that phone call Steve, I reckon I could have a look at it, although showing what the lights actually do (without buying it) might be tricky!
Nice to talk to you :) Thanks for the call.

Could you take a close up picture of a birds eye view of the console (i.e. knobs and faders). Just so I can take a look. I expect it works in the same way as the Chauvet DMX-55/Acme Master etc, but a closer look at the unit would confirm this.

I fairly competent with the basics of DMX, but I know for a fact that I'd pick up some gems of info from such a disc. Put me down for a copy too....a fiver?, absolute BARGAIN!!.
