Gooood Mornin
I have recentley upgraded my advert on the UK disco site to silver and was wondering how it all works really. I have read the site and was wondering if some one could shed some light on it.
Basically if a client is looking for a disco in her area does all the discos that are listed in that area get sent an email? If this is the case does this mean she could get up to 10 quotes from DJ's?
Or do they pick just the one disco randomly from her area and ask the dj to send out a quote?
Also when I log onto my account there was a posting from a client asking for a quote for her 11 year old b/day.... Now was this sent directly to me or was it there for all dj's to see???
:bang:

Might not be a bad idea to actually ask UK Disco & not post the question here, as it is a rival site to this one.
If anyone can answer Frankie's questions please feel free to do so, but do not reply with "UK Disco is rubbish" type posts. Any posts seen to be rubishing this or any other listings site in this thread will be deleted

with some listings on uk disco it is possible to see enquiries made by none paying listings so you can send a rival quote for a gig .....or someone can send a quote directly to you.
yes it is possible that someone could send an email to 10 different discos in their area and knowing jo public i suspect this is what happens.
i have a listing on there but there has been an influx of discos in my area so im getting a little less from it these days ... that said ive had 3 enquiries from this site recently with a paid listing..
id say its worth doing for the net coverage and it is a popular site

Dragon is spot on. There are a number of ways to get enquiries through UK-Disco. As I understand it, if an enquiry is made to a basic listing company, the people with silver listings or above in that area are sent the email automatically. I think if the enquiry is made to a silver or above company, the client has the option to make the enquiry visible to others in the area, but it usually says that on the request - something like "enquiry made public to other disco's in the area".
It is well worth buying some SMS credits as well. i have picked up no end of bookings this way. Someone sends and enquiry to another disco, either it automatically gets sent to me as well or they choose to. text message straight away to my mobile meaning I can call the client (or email if there's no number) and generally about 1 70% conversion rate on these enquiries.
Remember though that enquiries made to you in the first place could be picked up and taken from you in exactly the same way!

I don't think thats correct. If you're a paying member then only you see your own enquiries.
If you go to enquire with a Silver or Gold Listing you'll see there is no box to tick to send to other companies, this box only appears when you enquire with a bronze (freebie) member.

Think you're correct dan. IF you are a paid member whether it is silver, gold or platinum all enquiries to you are to you only.... No one else! It's only the free listing that the enquiries are sent to 3rd parties.
