Thomann "the box" sub

Hi.
I'm looking to add a sub to my set-up but funds aren't the greatest. So I seen this on thomann, pretty well powered for the money. Anyone any experience with these, and are they any good?

Don't know what you plan to couple it with, but have you checked out the Peavey PROSUB-P ? It's 400W, powered (also available as unpowered) and is really very very good for most venues apart from the very largest. I use one for parties up to about 150 people, two for larger venues/more folks.

Sorry I should have said, along with 2 db technologies 400s.
Whats the peavey like for volume? I it powerful enough to satisfy 150 approx. people?

Depends what you do.

For me, it's nearly all private functions and holiday hotels. So yes - they're perfect for that. I'll only take out two if I get a large sports hall or a marquee.

If you're doing a lot of hard dance/club type stuff maybe something bigger and louder would be more appropriate.

As you're using the 400's now, you'll certainly get a much richer sound image by adding a single Peavey.

Wait for suggestions from others on the forum - I'm sure there are more opinions to be had.

For me though the Peaveys are loud, crystal-clear, reasonably light and well-built.

I'll have a look at the peavey at my local supplier, I might purchase one now and upgrade to two in the future.
