Behringer FBQ2496 help

Has anybody else got this combined EQ and feedback destroyer? I am after the best way to set it up.

Do you just press learn and let it gradually raise the Db to detect bad frequencies as I do or do you use another method?

I dont use a feedback destroyer, but I do raise volume when I sound test to try to get feedback so I can eq it out best I can if that helps.
