Hi have a Soundlab/Botex DJ Mingle controller and just can't program it. The instructions are totally mystifying to me. Can anyone help.

Showtec , Eurolite also brand the same product. Someone somewhere out there must know how to use this?

Hi Alan,

I've had a quick look at an upclose picture, and on the Botex web site. I would say this controller is not designed to undertake the job of controlling Scanners/Moving Heads etc (i.e. Inteligent lighting). At a quick look it would seem it's designed for dimmer packs only.

I don't know if this effects what you are trying to programme, however I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the desk and am unable to provide support on this occassion.

If you we're looking for a controller for intelligent lighting (scanners/movers etc) your best bet is http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_dmxmaster_i.htm

This is re-branded as Stairville but both Chauvet, Acme and various other companies have this desk under their name. It is very good, and I use one myself, whist supporting users with these controllers.

Sorry I can't help with this, just don't be tempted By the Geni DM4 controller. I have a good understanding of DMX but it took me a full day to get to grips with it, the taiwan to english translation was very funny but not much help! I now use this as a back-up or to control my switching pack.

The desk Will suggested is a good bet.
