Nice system John - I'm not sure you'll need 2 bins though. Aren't the 705s rated at 800W?

been hearing very good things about rcf.Were thinking of moving to them from mackie. I would just get the one bin to start with 800watts is alot of bass i was advised that if i was wanting to run two 705 bins then run 4 312 tops so the sound output is level

This is a great system ,i use nearly the same system ,but have the 325a on the top as they have a 2" exit driver some big gigs i use 4 subs and 4 tops. For inside jobs take the xover up to 120hz otherwise it can be a bit much. as i said this is one of the best systems around and will give you great service, and its nice to see a mobile using some top quality gear as TONY TIGER WOULD SAY GREATTTTTTTT

Sorry thats not right ,I have been selling RCF for many years and i would advise the system is perfect with two subs and two tops, four is to much. The system is even better with the 325a on the top more power better horn driver.Interesting to note the mackies orginals were the same company as RCF but were bought out and no longer have rcf drivers and cant live with the ARTseries

if you want to hear em running, local cover band "beautiful couch" run rcf art tops and subs. I wasnt over impressed tho. personally thought it sounded a bit muddy but may just have been poor eq. If it was my money id go for the mackies.

Been looking at the Mackie stuff as well. But Also now thinking of spending a bit more and getting an Active EV system

Mackie SRM450s & SWA1501s
RCF ART 312a & ART 705as
EV SXA360 & SBA760s

I would suggest just getting one sub to begin with John to see how you get on.

In the end i got them from Sapphires £794 with the two mackie padded bags.

Have you actually got the bags and are they proper Mackie ones John?

There is a serious shortage of them at the moment - I've been after a pair for one of my DJs for quite a while now. No-one seems to have them in stock or know when they're coming in. :(

on the sapphires site it said you can get the mackie tops individually for about 400 each with bags (worth £60.00)

so im assuming at £60.00 each they might be the proper mackie ones.

Hi,

I've used Mackie SRM 450's and SWA1501's for about 3 years now (upgraded from Peavey which I hated).

I bought the SRM450's first (with bags - from electromusic) and was well impressed by them! Then I started a band and had to invest in the SWA1501's (x2) and was equally impressed although sometimes got a bit carried away with the bass (cos I could heh) Drums sounded amazing when mic'd through this kit.

Anyway, 3 years doen the line, they've NEVER let me down / needed servicing (perhaps due). I am now going to use these in my DJ setup and can't wait to get started.

Believe me - once you own a pair of these you'll never regret it and I reckon they are one of the best systems out there (without spending silly money).

Finally Arrived this morning and i got them out and give them a blast.

As for the bags the bags i got with them are made by GigSkinz. I dont particularly like them bags. So im going to sell them bags on and look for the proper mackie ones.
