Buying abroad

I havent bought any kit from abroad but last week ordered a CD from an e bay dealer in AMERICA.

Arrived here today ---excellent.

Didnt even have to bid for it:D

This is the second time I have bought a CD from USA no problems--I really didnt think the post was this good:D

I have bought from America through eBay though...no problems at all :)

I bought a "phatnoise" hard drive for the my Audi off ebay was listed as Milton keynes actually arrived from America......with a customs import bill to pay!

moral of the story?

Trust nothing to do with Milton Keynes especialy football "saviour" Pete Winkleman

I've bought CD's from America off Amazon with no problems. Sometimes it is the only way to find rare country tracks.

Spot on--I bought a Country CD by Ty England--could buy it here for about
£12 on ebay--but got it from USA for ONE CENT plus postage on e bay auction:D

Import tax--was that added after you bought the item and taken off your card?:eek:

Perhaps it only applies to larger companies exports--not had anything mentioned on buying CDs from small ebayers in USA.

Enquiries come in here from all over the UK --but not MK---weird.

Actually we did once cover ONE Barn Dance there--years ago.

Thanks to eBay I've bought from the UK, USA, Holland and Hong Kong, only problem I've ever had was with a UK seller who ripped me off to the tune of £200.

I once bought a CD from Australia on ebay.

It was a big risk though, as I wanted to email the seller to ask about one of the tracks, but I couldn't, as I don't know the language.

you only have to pay tax above a certain level- £18 i think.
nowadays i don't see it as any different as buying from the uk- all of cd wows cds used to come from hong kong.

why should it be any more risky?
