Went and had a look today....different is the word I would use...
Bit's and bobs - cables and connections - seem O.K.
This caught my eye...but I'm looking for something a little smaller and easy to mount on a goal post but can't find anything.....it needs to move the air around a bit not like a hurricane....without rotation.
Any ideas?

I've also seen these but would like them cased.

Penmare,
I'd LOVE a fan (apart from the female ones who keep following me around).
I get seriously hot at gigs & pespire loads...by the time I've carried in the gear & set up, I'm soaked through. :(

But the first one would blow the sweat off you and on to the customers....
No I'm just trying to enhance my set up...:)

I have a fan for those reasons and for additional cooling of the amps, just to be safe.

We've recently had a Maplins open locally - I couldn't believe how expensive it was compared with the local Disco Emporium!

I think this may be right.
I'm not sure about disco gear, but my brother is about to buy a satnav.
He found it in a particular catalogue for £170.
According to the Maplins website, their price for the same item is £269.99!

I think Maplins get a lot of unfair criticism on here, they have got me out of a few scrapes many a time, as I know I can go there for all sorts of connectors, leads and other essentials, and their opening hours are good too. I also had to buy an amp fairly last minute too, and that's where I got it.
Price-wise, they are hit and miss, but as eBuyer and the like don't have stores where you can go and get your product the same day, you can't really compare directly.
Some people seem to think Maplins are primarily a disco equipment dealer, well I'm afraid to break the news that they are not! That is only a very small part of their shop, and the fact is they will sell more budget and what can only be described as 'home DJ' gear, than the equipment most of us use.
