Hi all just wondering do these lights come with normal plugs so you can plug them into a normal wall socket or do you need one of the things with the pins in them to use it in a home hold socket ?? cheers.

Looking at the pic i'd say you'd have to convert it...

If you are buying them from Thomann then i'd say 99.9% sure you'd need a converter plug on it.... one of those travel jobbies. Either that or cut the plug off and fit a new plug of choice on.

You do realise that the pins are the DMX connectors and that the lead has a plug on the end, right?

For those that are confused where the plug is and which bit it is.... I've put an arrow leading to it... ;)

I still say you'll need a converter for it - Looks like the same type of 2 pin jobbie that's on my LEd par 56's

Yep I purchased the chrome LED Par 56's from Thomann and spent a day cutting the plugs off them and soldering some male IEC conectors to them.

I aint using them with DMX thats why i was asking , thinking about just running them off a plug.

Guess you mean those old pre-IEC round bakalite plugs? Almost like a huge XLR with 3 round pins used for mains. Think there was also a 2 pin version.
Cable strain relief? What are those? Horrible things:(

BTW the PARs will have euro plugs on, snip 'em off and stick IECs or 13amps on. You can run them stand-alone without a DMX controller.
