i have a soundlab dual cd player and one of the draws is sticking can anyone help i have tried wd 40 no joy

the cd player has never been used its just been stored and never used now thinking about selling it

take the protective film off the front ...... it worked for me :D

WD40 can damage plastic components and should not be used. Lithium grease is used a lot on electrical components especially the flat cogs they use for cd draws. Or even vasalene. WD40 has a chemical in it that dissolves grease and is not suited to this as it is also a solvent.

I had a problem with a DAT Machine that had the same problem.
I bought some grease in a can (pretty sure it came from CPC or RS) and that worked a treat.
It came in a white non-aersol can with a plastic tube to get into the nooks and crannies and did a great job.
You may even find something on fleebay.But as people have said, WD40 is a no go and so is 4in1 8in1 or whatever that oil is called.
You need something that will stick & grease the parts...
