its a company Reunion party and all they want played is tracks between 1992 and 1997!

bit weird eh!

well the ting is its been so long i dont remember what used to fill the floor in them days since i dont play much 90's these days!

can anyone give me some good floor fillers that you still use from this period!

Bit of a narrow gap eh lol. Best thing to do is search for songs that were numberone during those years that should give you an idea. Also find out what now! disks were out in those years and use this link http://www.nowthatsmusic.com/ this should give you some idea.

Also bear in mind that many things released in '91 were still big in '92 and even into '93, like Soul II Soul (for earlier in the evening), MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and most people won't remember the exact year stuff was released.

Yazz and Black box were both 80s tunes..

The "dance zone" series of CDs would be ideal for this.. as would the Now albums from that era.

Theres loads of good dance stuff like livin' joy, strike, gala, bobby brown. Some indie stuff like pulp, blur, happy mondays, the smiths (how soon is now and charming man both re-issued in '92). Also hip hop/rap stuff like Ini Kamoze, early Will Smith. Poppy stuff like Eternal, Kylie, Spice Girls!!!

Sorry Danno but was talking about the rereleases mid 90's after techno redubbing. 1994 for black box here http://www.discogs.com/release/193340

And yazz was released in 1988 but agoin was rereleased in 1994 after some rework. So they are both viable. As most people wont know when rereleases were made it should hold up. Also snap rythm is a dancer for example has been rereleased 9 times that I can find the last time being 2006.

Advantage of techno stuff it stays around for a while in different forms.

well people the disco was the worst ever!

they had no interest in a disco what so ever and the orginiser insisted on this peoiod of music even tho people were asking for "NEW STUFF"

when the orginiser left 30min before the end i decided to change the music and play some of the "normal stuff" the dance floor filled up in secconds.


well 1 for the books i suppose and it was nice to hear some of the classic 90's nice and loud again lol
