I was wondering how many of you purchase music legally and then burn it to CD for DJ use?
Is this legal? / What sort of proof do you take along (if any)
Best Regards

I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) that you are allowed to burn a downloaded file to CD once.
If you then rip the CD to MP3 (removing the DRM) you are breaking the terms of the DRM and are then breaking copyright law.
I keep the email receipts from all the purchases I make so I can prove that I've purchased them legally.

If you then use the CD as a DJ, you need the new digital dj music licence.
No you don't

DIgital DJ liscence is only if it is digital format i.e mp3 aac etc. Although it says for personal use , a wedding etc is a private function and therefore personal use.
whatever happens this thread will reaopen the liscence question again.
