.........after my post on Rob's thread about his sound levels dropping.

Does anyone have regular hearing checks? Think about how often & how long we're exposed to loud music, it would seem the sensible thing to do.

Our company do check up's for everyone (if they ask) once a year.
Along with heath check - again if you ask.

I get Bupa with my day job and that comes with a regular in depth health check (once every three years). Had the first one abour 6 months ago and the lady who did the tests said everything was fine.... sorry, can you say that agian... no, sorry, a bit louder....?

We did get Bupa and free medical care but they put there prices up and....you can guess the rest. That use to be one good perk of the company..now if you want Bupa or the other company it subscribes to you have to pay. :(

I've never had a hearing test, but I honestly dont think my hearing is bad, in fact I think it's the best of my senses.

They say that if one of your senses is poor, another one develops to compensate.

I wear contact lenses as my eyesight is a pile of :Rob James: and my sense of smell has never been very good (possibly to do with the fact that I smoked heavily for 25 years).

However, I've always thought my hearing was good. I remember some times when my Mum & Dad were talking about me quietly in a nearby room, or they were downstairs & I was upstairs...& I heard every word as plain as day.

There again, after my recent post about my system volume appearing to drop, maybe it IS time for a test!
