right guys I have the kam pro 1500 mix with the kam eqlizer 15 band used with peavey pv-1500 amp and peavey rx 15" speakers and i just seem to get hardly any bass. I have tryed bass on full and everything i was wondering if i was doing anything wrong.
would you recomed a change in the mixer and graphic. If so what would you use with the peavey gear and aslo I have a problem with the mic chanels i have used shure wirred mic but it sounded terribule so then i used a numark radio mic and it was crap on this mixer. is it just kam mixers or me or is it just the kam 1500 model ?? thanks for the help

The only reason i can think of is that you might have a switch that says bypass or eq and it might be on bypass.

If you want a real bass feel, you'll need a set of subs - but you should get a fair amount from the speakers themselves.

i have had good bass using a mixing desk which i borrowed from a friend and got some nice bass n my eq i havent bypassed it beacuse i get a liltle bit more then the mixer but the mixer dont give hardly any off on its owen but with the graphic i dont get much morew then the mixer but i know my amp and speakers will give me more than they are

I too have same mixer, and with Eurosys 3 speakers had to have bass turned right up to get an acceptable level of bass output. I was very happy with this, and used it for 90% of my work with no problems until.........................

I went berserk and bought two pairs of Class-D 215's and an amp to power them. Now the bass is virtually all cut on the mixer, and if you bring it up at all then you can actually make the earth move! (oo er missus!) I am presently attempting to sort the upgrade for the Peavey system, and will let you know how it goes.

Even though the Rx is a top grade speaker you can only get so much bass output from two drivers. On Saturday night my setup had ten 15" speakers running low end. ( Note to self, stop buying new toys) My advice is get some subs, use built in crossover, and if you are not happy, get an active crossover, as I have done. Good luck.

Isn't there a switch on the Rx for EQ ? Check it's not set wrong.

Afternoon,

You also might find that the issue of no bass is down to polarity reversal on the connections between your source and the speakers. This is also known as phase inversion.....If you have swapped the '+ & -'ve' connections over by accident on one of the channels then your bass drivers will be out of phase. I.e; as one moves 'out' of the cabinet on a bass note, the other will move in the opposite direction. This effectively cancels out all if the bass frequencies....
Easliy done too, could just be a pair of phonos into the back of your mixer the wrong way round or if you've make up you own cables the cable cores being soldered to the wrong pins.....
