In stark contrast to the 'worst gig in a while' thread, I had a blinder last night.

School ball, with around 600 kids, and at times 400+ of them were on the floor - to the point where the installed parquet flooring started to disintegrate! We're talking Eden Park, here, top international venue, so good solid flooring, but four or five squares down one side came away.

Big artists for the night were Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Fall Out Boy and Bob Sinclar - biggest songs were probably 'SOS', 'Thanks for the Memories', 'Rock This Party', 'Buy You a Drank', and 'Sweet Child o' Mine'.

Yes, indeed, cross-over at 100Hz, two 18" bass-bins driven by a 1000W each and four mid/top cabs driven by approximately 650W per channel (two amps running two cabs each) - everything running at between half and two-thirds capacity. Sounded huge on the dancefloor, even when full, and sounded decent to about half-way down the room in each direction from the dancefloor (set up in the middle of a long room).
