All the links pointed to some wedding video company
For example Void Audio points to Lucid Moments apart from that it is a nice site

Nice site Jamie...I think you need some extra grey bits in the main body though...just to continue the theme. Or perhaps a grey footer with the copyright message etc.

Very professional site.

I'd lose the sitemeter at the bottom though.

If it was my site, I wouldn't want any Tom, **** or Harry being able to click on it & view my stats...just like I don't think visible hitcounters are a good idea.

There's no right or wrong here, it's just my personal opinion.

Darren, I'm suprised at you letting it go.

I dunno, one rule for some, one rule for others! :sj:

Nice looking site Jamie, very professional looking.

Just a few points: -

1. The Freeserve domain masking technique results in frames, which isn't good for various reasons. Also makes it annoying as the address bar never changes to show the true URL, although open in a new window at least still works.
2. I'd open PDFs in a new window (there's one on the Hire page, didn't check for any more)
3. The web links on the Links page aren't links.
4. Contact page could do with a form.
5. I'd make your logo (top left) link to your home page.
6. To be really pedantic, your pages link to themselves in your top navigation...

Cheers Mark, will work on what you've suggested.

6. To be really pedantic, your pages link to themselves in your top navigation...

Not sure what you mean by this?

Jamie

Jamie

It's just that if you're on, say, the Hire page, the Hire item in the navigation is still a link to the page you're on.

Pages generally shouldn't link to themselves, but this is such a small issue it's probably not worth bothering about :)

I heard there was a good hosting deal on DJ BIDS (http://www.djbids.co.uk/auctiondetails.php?itemname=1-Months-Web-Hosting&id=227) ;)

I'll throw in the contact form if you like, just PM details if interested.

Thought i'd drag this topic up instead of creating a new one. I'm pretty happy with how the site looks now, and am getting on average of 3000 hits per month (around half of those are unique visits).

What i'm trying to do now, on the Disco page is make it as 'client friendly' as possible, and turn more of these hits into enquiries. In a few months time I may create a dedicated site for Disco, but for now just looking for short term ideas on how to improve things.

Cheers

I think you'll find that's not true, Rob!

It all depends on the terminology - hits / visitors / etc. - see here (http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=11039) :)

Thanks for correcting me, Marc.

You're right...I was getting hits, visits, pages etc all mixed up.

Having double checked, I am averaging about 2,800 hits a month...so only a few less than Jamie.
