I have been told that I cant now park on a customers premises in Central London because of increased terrorist security.
This means trying a Public Car Park--like NCP-- the gig is next to Chancery Lane Station noon on Friday the 13th July  YEAH--I KNOW!!!!!!
Does anyone know if you can book in advance at these types of Car parks--I would ask NCP but theres no one at home just now and I got tired of hanging on listening to rubbish music for 20 minutes:mad:
NCP Customer service--whats that:eek:
Or do you turn up and cruise around trying to find one with a parking space--
No I wouldnt have taken this gig on if I had known this type of thing was likely to happen --probably my last gig in central London---too much hassle and dangerous as well now.
UNLESS OF COURSE I CHARGE DANGER MONEY:D

dont think you can book them, but you can check prices on line- should not be too bad for half a day- £15-20 I would guess.

Try this, but not sure if you can pre-book:-

there you go- most of them have a max of £20-30.
Depends how many hours alan needs but not a million miles away.
find it best to incorporate parkign into the charges anyway so you avoid this.

don't suppose you have a mate that could drive you in and pick you up at the end of the night? thats what I've always done with gigs in the city!

Sadly not Colin, --I live in Northamptonshire so its not exactly a local gig for me, family friends etc.and its on a Friday.
Even if I take my wife or grown up son the gig is 6 hours:eek: so they will get bored out their brains sitting around all afternoon.
It was all absolutely fine until the terror alert
Thanks anyway for the idea,

Good point Dave, there was a MATERIAL change in the circumstances surrounding the Contract--as far as I concerned the original Contract was void because they withdrew part of theiroriginal offer---which was to give me free parking space---so no conscience there in charging more:D :D :D
Offer and acceptance and all that stuff in the law of Contract.
Might well include this now just in case.
Possibly not mentioning 6 flights of stairs springs to mind:eek:

I have been working in central London recently, and parking is a nightmare. The traffic wardens sometimes allow you 20 minutes loading time, on a single yellow and sometimes they don't.
My friend stopped to ask a policeman where he could park, and while talking to the policeman, was spotted by a camera and sent a parking fine. At least with a traffic warden there is a chance you can reason with them. You cant reason with a camera.
