Guys,

May sound strange but is there anyway of stretching a photo out to use like a banner across the top of the website?

I take it you mean your own site? Is it just standard HTML?

<img src="whatever.jpg" width="100%">

That should work, it should make the image use all of the available width of the window, although perhaps something like 90% would be better, providing it's centre aligned.

Resizing an image using html is never a good idea really. Browsers aren't the best at resizing and images can end up with jaggy edges etc. if displayed at anything other than their "true" size.

The best thing to do is simply resize the image in image editing software, then include it at the correct size in your page.

Can't really give any more help without knowing exactly what it is you're trying to do...

Cheers guys

I'm trying to make my home page a bit more interesting, just looks a bit boring at the moment. Would like to put something along the lines of a full width photo banner across the top.

I know alot of you dont like the flames and I think it's time they went but I don't just want to leave it as a text page.
