Do you have any regrets that you didn't try something?

I always wanted to do a few summer seasons DJ'ing abroad. It never materialised though. I went from one long term relationship to another and I didn't feel it was the right thing to do at the time. It's the one thing I wished I had done when I was younger.

Anyone else have any regreats (DJ related)?.

Yep...wish I started years ago....:( DJing....

Just starting to have fun with it....still working on the 9 to 5 dump it sanario....suppose i'l get there in the end....:)

I wish I had got my website up and running 5 years ago instead of 2.

Since having it I have raised my profile and now have much better quality work.

I hardly ever do the pub/working mans club type gigs anymore. It's all nice weddings, dinner dances, black tie etc. Charging more and really enjoying the gigs, more involved but far more rewarding.

The style of my website seems to attract better clients...........don't know why?? but it does! I'm a happy man! :)

I've tried several things. Some have been real successes, others...crash and burn, but at least I found out. I'm just about to start on my latest venture, as a mobile DJ. I already work as a self-employed driving instructor. The money's good. I'm successful (I haven't advertised for 5 years) but I'm feeling the need for some fun in my working life. I also believe that you are only as old as you feel, and if you do things that are fun (like you folks do) then you stay younger, longer. I 'might' also start gigging when my guitar playing gets a bit better, who knows!

Me too. Exactly the same.

I bought a house when I was 19 and had quite a nice little business going too.

I was approached by Juliannas just after I got married (11 years ago) and we did discuss it, but I didn't go in the end. :(

That's what I was thinking...I was working in clubs in my early 30's.

Was asked to appear on an ITV documentary about DJ's but turned it down as I had another gig at the same time and didnt want to let them down.

i regret not taking up the complex's manager's offer of a job back in 1997 in lanzarote after the karaoke they had on was diabolical my wife tried several times to stop me from getting up but had to do something as the presenter didn't have a clue so eventually i got up n took over had the place bouncing within half an hour . manager sent drinks to my wife and i three times then in the morning i had a note through my door to go see manager. he offered me a job and accomadation for my wife and i .I DECLINED aaaaahhhh !!!! FOOL

When Polydor made me redundant in 1981 they were obliged to offer me another job. They had just bought Decca Records and offered me a position there. I laughed at them. In a short time they had reranded the label as London and signed loads of good artistes and had lots of hits. Ooh how I kicked myself.

The only regret that comes to mind is not quitting my daytime job & going self-employed running mobile discos & pub quiz nights YEARS ago, rather than as recently as 3 years ago.

For me - not taking a six month residency in Thailand about 23 years ago (as I was married first time then) but i did make up for it a bit by doing about six years (on and off) on the cruise ships.
