Just had another idea going on another thread.
Since there was a debate going on about disco signs and such like, what do you think about van signage. Good or bad idea ? Pros and cons ? I would like people to know who i am but its always the wrong kind of people that it attracts :bang:

Fantastic idea - but magnetic signs and when you get home with a van full of gear, remove the signs!

Works a treat for me!

Good idea. Do they stick well if it rains or its windy ? I would hate to lose one down a dyke on the A16  But then again in these situations, just dont stick them on.

Get it painted up as a florist or baker's or something totally undesirable.

Painting 'XYZ Disco' all over it is just asking for trouble.

Sad but true :o

Mine's just plain white at the mo but planning on an upgrade in the not too distant so it can stay that way.

Have managed the Orwell bridge (know for being high and windy around here) at 70 mph and they stuck firm - absolutely no worries!

I'm just about to get my new van sign-written. I thought about about magnetic signs, but have decided to take the risk and get proper van livery added.

The camera doesn't really do it justice to be honest. It did turn out well though, the price was pretty good too....less than I thought it would be.

You know, my dad said the very same thing about the front lettering. :D

At about 10 times the price I bet. :)

I thought about neon pink....but decided against it. :D

Ricesnaps uses magnetic signs on his van, and they look real good. I can't see any reason why they won't look good on your car. :approve:

it may not have a full body wrap but if anything did ever happen to Elite DJ Entertainment then all you have to do is peel away the vinyl and you have a normal van. but nothing is going to go wrong. :)

The great thing about having magnetic signs on your car or van is that while they're on there it saves having to paint targets on your vehicle!

Loving the van Shaun.
You did llike I had on my van (when I could afford the insurance), a warning notice stating that the van's empty overnight.
At least a bit of a deterrent.

A better one would be "This van is empty overnight (if you don't count the Rottweiler)." :D

Lets put it this way, it can't hurt can it. The signs also double up quite nicely as promo banners at wedding fairs!

Give me call when you have some more details about the 1st

I see that several of you are against signwriting your vans, presumably because of getting your gear stolen? So...Do you really leave your gear in your van? If not, then it's a mute point about van signage. If you do leave the van loaded, how does that stand with your insurance? Just wondering.

John:)

As far as I'm aware, MusicGuard covers you for leaving your gear in the van as long as you adhere to their policy conditions. Things like Alarm, Immobilisor, Bulkhead fitted etc.

I've got music guard....and the optional in van insurance.....don't always have the muscle power at end of night to empty anything....
I read the small print carefully for this reason and am pretty convinced it is covered. Even so.....I still don't advertise what is in the van!

The bit behind the driver ....like a sheet of steel to divide the cargo and the front seats.

Thanks. I'll check the cover being offered. I don't fancy unloading in the wee hours either!
