NO, but then mine is really for backup and I tend not to use relay play, but use VDJ for background.

You forget I saw both the D2 & all the Cortex models at PLAZA before plumping for the Denon. Only thing that I can fault is the HD2500 hasn't yet got a crate function like the D2

Today must have been the hottest so far this year?

Outside temp was nearing 80 in Hertfordshire where I was today.

Bit worrying--due to rubbish weather this year I havent played at any very warm events yet:eek: :eek: :eek:

What make is the overheating HD out of interest?

I thought only Laptops had this problem?

Yep, it worked ok with the lappy, I wonder if it configured itself to that & other PCs won't recognise it. To my knowledge it's the first time it's been connected to the desktop

Update:

Wasn't a heat issue at all. Replaced the WD & the Freecom with Maxtor HDDs & there was still a stutter. Defragged both & the stutter is gone.

Do you have to defrag Hard drives dedicated to music?

I can understand it on a general PC at home which contains LOTS of bits of useless information.

No problems like that with Seagate HDDs--does this depend on how your music is set up on the HDD then?

I'm thinking of adding VDJ'ing next year and suddenley remembered (well unless it was a dream) that a disco I went to in 1982/83 played Run to the Hills onto a screen behind them. Would of been some kind of Reel to Reel Projector, I would think !

An early pioneer in vdj'ing ?

Wondered about the heat thing.

Do you have to defrag Hard drives dedicated to music?
Cue points added to files, all put through MP3Gain, etc. If you do anything to any of your MP3s other than rip & play them I'd recomend a defrag every so often.
