Extra CD programme kicks in-what do I do?

I was running a CD through OTS Dj last night for a client and the wrong track kicked in .The reason for this was that another programme had decided to play the cd under OTS.How can I determine what programmes will decide to play cd's if inserted and how do I turn this off?

FIrst thing to do is too turn auto insert notification off on the drive as that will start it playing or bring up other options when you insert the disc.

To do this go into windows explorer and right click on your cd drive and select properties then select thhe autoplay tab. Once this appears you can select the different media types i.e music cd and select the action that you want windows to take when it is inserted :)

Do you not have a backup CD player that you could play it through. When I'm in "gig mode" a CD doesn't go anywhere near my PC, just to be "safe, not sorry". That and windows puts up an error message every time I put a CD in the drive....not sure why :S
