Shaken, not stirred

Odd wedding last night. A whole evening until about 10.30 with few dancers, a number or people coming up and asking if the music was pre-recorded (even after asking 4 times over the mic for requests if wanted) - to be fair I had about 4 hours worth of requests from the bride which, even though not a lot were dancing, she kept popping over to say she was really enjoying herself (and she's paying the bill!) - when the floor filled even though the music generall was the same as earlier. Planned for an 11.30 finish, but asked at 11.20 if we could go on till 12 with a packed dance floor for the last half hour. As requested finished with "you'll never walk alone", which I have never tried before but worked very well (but is it unlikely to work elsewhere due to it's footie links?), and had a huge huge round of applause and all bar one guest over to say thanks and how much they had enjoyed the evening. Odd isn't it!

However, the best part of the whole night had to be the transport. I believe the car came as a gift from a designer who was involved in all the "toys" used in the last two Bond movies (the car toys anyway!)

When I overheard a punter say " Oh dear, he's finished with a football song!"

When a lovely and knowledgeable punter asked if I knew the significance and origins of the song, which of course I did. She was thus delighted that I hadn't finished with a "Football song!"

Punters, don't you just love 'em.
