dynamo help...

iv set my dynamos to the following

head 1 - dipswitch 1 DOWN
head 2 - dipswitches 2,3 and 10 DOWN
head 3 - dipswitches 1,2 and 3 DOWN
head 4 - dipswitches 2,3 and 10 DOWN

and i have a ca8 controller, i seem to not able to work out the controller, are you able to have the 4 lights to just one at all times, and can you change the speed of the lights cos it all seems to be same speed. maybe just being blind to something, obvioulsy sound to light will go into time of beat but cant you slow the lights to from that beat or not...

just that doing my sister friends wedding well djing in between the live band they want an incase they need my lights i would like the to be just one colour for instance while they BnG where dancing to give nice effect. any ideas....

and buy the way im dmx newbie to world...so keep it simple..lol cheers:beer1:

A quick look in the dynamo instruction manuall will tell you what the CA8 can do and how to do it ;)

the manual is rubbish i think so anyway, the ca8 controller does not seem to make much difference really...does any else thing different. i had it all set up etc an just seems like it more hassle with controller, easier to just let them run...cos the funtions etc on controller dont make sence....

anyone have this controller got any advice. cheers.:confused:

Yes phone up the technical bods at the suppliers/ manufacturers--I found them very helpful and they told me which switches to dip.

I have the twins---makes no difference though--if the C8 doesnt make any difference either its broken or you need to phone their technical bods for help---see above.

its does work, just seem cant figure out what best way to use it, one min it does something then next it dont, just wish it had multiple button so easier to use.... are the twins any good by the way as thinking of getting one for centre piece on my rig, or wither get couple of led par cans, just cant make mind up.

is there anywhere, where i can find i list or sheet of what all different types of settings there are for dmx lighting...especialy "dynamos" want to know what settings i can put to them to an what it will do...???

no, i mean is there a some information anywhere, where it tells you if you........put dip 1 and 4 and 6 on one light it tells you what that will do to it, if thats makes sence.

do you ever change the setting on them, with them like that can you just let them run on one coulour at all times or does the ca8 controller not have that ability to do that. e.g first dance at wedding you dont want all colours everywhere nice one colour show.

My Ca8 seems to work ok , Bottom button controls program , fast , faster one with a lot of strobing and a slow one. The middle button changes the gobos and colours with each press I think. It does tell you in the manual.
