e bay again

Sadly my faith in ebay sellers has taken another dip.

Wrote to an EBAYER guy selling Paint your Wagon CD and said is Wandrin Star by Lee Marvin?

He confirmed it was by email.

CD arrives today--no its not Lee Marvin:eek: :eek: :eek:

E bay seller is in Gloucester---worst place at the moment.

This is sharp practice if not lying--hopefully he will respond properly and give my money back and a refund of my postage charges as well both ways?

I have sent a fairly unfriendly email to him.

Anyone had similar to this?

Has anyone got a LEGAL copy of this track that plays ok that you can sell me--I cant find it on download sites

Bad news is--

The CD being sold by Amazon doesnt have a track listing that I could find.

Thats why I emailed the ebay guy.

I did see the customer review---cant now find it--:bang: :bang: :bang:
and they said it was Lee Marvin--I would say they thought it was---sounded like him---but wasnt--its some guy called Ben Rumson--

I have to say the way I can tell its not Lee Marvin is---its sung in tune!!!!!!!!!!

Those of us who remember the original----it was awful--

Which is probably why I cant find it on i tunes--theres plenty of cover versions---but not the Lee Marvin version that I could find.

I can only assume no one wants to hear it:eek:

On that basis I have played the track and decided that I will keep it ( although I have been mislead on ebay ) for these reasons--

1. Its so close to the original its probably not worth mucking about sending the CD back

2. Its actually sung better because its in tune

3. I want to use it at the end of Western evenings when everyone is tired from the dancing (and merry) just having a smooch around and singing along-to stuff like Stand by your Man, Rhinestone Cowboy and Wandrin Star --who is going to notice the difference---only me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know all the out of tune singers will drown out my music anyway:D

Good news--its a £1 cheaper than Amazon:D

Sounds like you have the soundtrack album (the Rocky Horror Picture Show album Credits songs to Brad, Janet, Rif Raf, Eddie, Magenta, & Frank N Furter rather than Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon, Richard O'Brien, Meatloaf, Patricia Quinn & Tim Curry) I think the album you have has done the same.

Was "I talk to the trees" credited to Partner ?

Your spot on Steve--listened to a "Clint Eastwood" track and its him as well!

Listened again to Wandrin Star and I think it is Lee but somehow it sounds better after 35 odd years !

I was thrown by the name and in fact its on I tunes under Ben Rumson==very confusing!!!!!!!! Apologies to Alan ( Propellor Head Case )
