I'm starting to diversify a little and there has been a bit of discussion of late about other services we can provide our clients with, both as part of our DJing service or independently.

For me, I'm starting to develope my "venue paint" lighting service, start providing serviced PA to a local comedy club next month and moving forward want to offer lighting for bands (initially as part of my wedding packages, but hopefully more later), PA hire and so on.

I know a lot of you already do some extra services, but I wondered what works and what doesn't, what makes you money (or what is most cost effective) and what is not even worth considering. What's the best way of promoting these extra's? I'm in the process of having a flier designed, mainly for promotion of all my services at non-DJ events, but was also considering the advantages of the bigger wedding fairs in the autumn (to promote the non-DJ services as well as the DJ ones). But what else works to sell these services?

Never overlook the value of cross-selling from your DJ enquiries to other services :D

Yeah, OK, I got nothing else.
