I'm about to order my PAR56 units and a couple of PAR64 LED units. There are a couple of option on the PAR56 and I would really really apreciate some advice, but I will purchase today!

I was looking at the bundles:

but the sets look a better deal:

The only problem is that the sets seem to only come with a Narrow spot lamp and I would want a medium at very least. But also, the silver (polished) version in the sets looks really really tacky, but surely it's the same unit as in the bundles? Is it just a really bad picture?

I'm guessing (as I am planning to use these on my rig on my mirrorball - AKA Dragon) that I would be better with the polished than the black as they would look better on my wembly arch.

Any help before I flex the card?

Why are you going for normal pars and not led ones? I know there are not as bright but for normal disco usage they are fine, plus as there led they dont get hot and you get a load of different colours, since I bought mine I never use the normal pars and sold them. Just asking :D

was going to say rice ...... what colour is the arch???? :D :D :D i found that narrow spot beams looked better for a mirrorball. although the martins look awesome on it done 2 gigs now and had many people looking around and saying what a nice effect it is. cant wait to use the 40cm one on saturday

Ive just bought this bundle except the polished chrome ones. They arrived on time well packaged with a waranty and catalogue.
The only fault ....if you can call it a fault, was the price of the pack of gells.
I've now dealt with 'thomann' a few times and each time they've been promt and professional. :p

Absolutely correct Jamie, the main use for the PARS will be for the comedy nights at Christmas, so a medium seemed a good bet. LED's for this use would I guess be useless as I have quite a throw to the "stage". But I didn't want to buy them JUST for this use, so if I can make use of then on the rig, maybe for my mirror ball that would make them a better buy!

The LED PARS's I am also getting will be the Eurolite PAR64's and these again are for a very specific purpose!

So currently I am going for the bundle, but polished rather than black with a medium beam lamp.

By the way, whoever called me (couldn't make out the name), thanks for the advice, but I'm only using 300 watt PAR 56 lamps, so I'm guessing the polished will be fine
