Steve i agree and i also find that there is no such thing a global warming! Its just the earth naturaly Heating up and cooling down!! And were are just receving the effects of that now!!!



Just some facts to back me up as well:

Of the 186 billion tons of CO2 that enter earth's atmosphere each year from all sources, only 6 billion tons are from human activity. Approximately 90 billion tons come from biologic activity in earth's oceans and another 90 billion tons from such sources as volcanoes and decaying land plants.

At 368 parts per million CO2 is a minor constituent of earth's atmosphere-- less than 4/100ths of 1% of all gases present. Compared to former geologic times, earth's current atmosphere is CO2- impoverished.

CO2 is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Plants absorb CO2 and emit oxygen as a waste product. Humans and animals breathe oxygen and emit CO2 as a waste product. Carbon dioxide is a nutrient, not a pollutant, and all life-- plants and animals alike-- benefit from more of it. All life on earth is carbon-based and CO2 is an essential ingredient. When plant-growers want to stimulate plant growth, they introduce more carbon dioxide.

CO2 that goes into the atmosphere does not stay there but is continually recycled by terrestrial plant life and earth's oceans-- the great retirement home for most terrestrial carbon dioxide.



If we are in a global warming crisis today, even the most aggressive and costly proposals for limiting industrial carbon dioxide emissions would have a negligible effect on global climate!

Global Warming is just a term to cover the way polution etc has affected the environment (weather wise), it actually causes both extremes, both hot & dry as well as cold & wet.

I know nothing about this at all the only totally amateur observation i have made is that the seasons seem to be shifting about 6 weeks from where they were .......... april showers ..... june july ........... snow not in november /december but in february march?? im just waiting for a roasting september???? wierd wish i did understand it all though.

Global warming (as in the general climate temparature rising) has been happening since records began, and evidence suggests since the ice age. However, the indications are that the changes have been accelerated since the industrial revolution from the late 19th century onwards, and erratic weather change has been more frequent.

It is a concern, but there are too many myths and misconceptions, which doesn't help in the slightest.

6000 years ago the earth was actually 12c hotter than it is now, which is what will happen in the next 20-30 years, we then went into an ice age until the earth resumed its natural state

Ok If it is global warming, why do people say,
hotest day since ....
wettest day since
coldest day since
. It is a weather cycle and pattern that happens. I personally think the whole global warming issue is a way of introducing yet more stealth taxes.
But yes i do agree these cycles are coming with more regularity than ever before.
Look what people used to say after the introduction of the Tv, microwave, radio waves etc.
Its all just a fad that more and more people are being dragged into.

Yes the average earth temperature is rising, but given that we are supposedly not between Ice Ages but in a lull during an Ice Age it shouldn't come as a surprise, really.

Targetting CO2 emissions for taxes and so on is, I think, a clever way of reducing other emissions that aren't so easily measurable, somewhat related, and undeniably bad for the environment - particulates of every kind imaginable are blown into the atmosphere by the same processes that generate CO2, very often, and particulates DO effect sunlight and heat retention, etc.

I don't think there is near enough evidence to lend creedence to the knee-jerk response to CO2 emissions, but I also don't think that being more environmentally conscious is a bad thing, either.

Yes, BeerFunk, there is. Ice core sample in Antarctica have been used to prove average temperatures across the globe. And Ice Ages are a fact, and a fairly clear indication of a lowering of temperature, no?
