Ok bands the good ones first, Robert Palmer, Elikie Brooks, Ian Dury, Hot Choclate,Sreaming Lord Sutch,King Crimson, Ace,Gino Washington,Alvin Stardust,George Melly,Reef,and the not so good, Sir Bob Geldof Boom Town Rats, Chas & Dave and the worst Wigans Ovation
And Djs Rosco, Tony Prince,Noel Edmonds,Steve Wright,Kid Jensen,Johnie Walker,and more current Lisa Lashes ,Judge Jules,and all the slinky djs.And my all time favs from this list. Robert Palmer, and the awsome Johnie Walker. I have a lot off tales but i think ill save them might write a book one day. TONYTIGER

The only bands/artists of any note are:

*Gabrielle (she was doing a PA just before 'dreams' went big, it was in a dive of a club in Southall, she gave me a signed copy, still got it somewhere.

*Erasure at G.A.Y in London (Don't ask!)

*Kenny Everett (Strange fella!)

*First Class (They had a no1 with 'Beach Baby' back in '73) I worked with them in '85 & they played their one hit 3 times along with a covers set. :D

*Paul Oakenfold, I did the warm up at 'The End' London and carried his box in. Wonder if he remembers me?? :D

That's about it! A bit sad really but you did ask Tony. :)

Oh and I fixed Peter Gabriel's boiler once...............does that count?

Also was a roadie for 3 nights on an early 90's Prodigy tour. We were using an OPUS sound system 100kW if I remember right.
That was a messy 3 days and nights...........those boys could party!

The lead singer & bass player from "Liquid Gold" come to my Monday quiz night - and so does Rob Davis, guitarist from "Mud" with his wife.

I used to knock about wirh Syd form Mud / Liquid Gold when he was with Paddy Goes to Hollyhead ( also knew from their time in PGTH Andy Scott, Mick Tucker (Sweet) Bruce Bisland, Mal McNulty& Jeff Brown (Later Versions of Sweet , Mal is now in Slade) Colbalt Stargazer (Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction), John Berry (Later Mud / Slade 2), Gareth Thomas (Dr & the Medics), Tino Troy (Preying Mantis), Andy Burgess (FM) & probably least famous & the only constant member Danny Hynes (ex Weapon, NWOBHM also rans)

Ooh just remembered, about 1995 I did a 21st birthday for the Daughter of 'Alvin Lee' of the sixties band '10 Years After', they were at 'Woodstock' man!

The gig was held in his barn in Bucks, it was like something out of 'Height Ashby' or a Ken Kesey 'Acid Test'.

We used his old Cerwin Vega system, 10 x double 18" 'W' bins, 10 x mid/top units. I supplied the amps, proccessing, playout and lighting.

This system hadn't been used since 1975. I just happened to spot it lurking in the corner of the barn & suggested to his daughter we used it.

Everything worked, quality kit, not been touched for 20 years and sounded awsome!!!! Tried to buy it, no luck!
