I purchased a Skytec DJ Kit (Before you all slag me off - I'm new at this game so want something cheap to see if it's my cup of tea!)
Well, as I say, I purchased it on Monday 16th July from EBay at a cost of £281. It still hasn't arrived yet and can't get in touch via telephone and they only reply to e-mails with "not our fault" kind of stuff.
Apparently it was sent on Monday 23rd July on a next day delivery yet it still hasn't arrived. City Link have no record of a parcel and the company who sent it say it's ity Links fault as apparently "the label came off".
I think I may have to report them to EBay or Paypal?
The company name is tlg sound and light - Anyone had any dealings with them, and if so, how did they go?

If you paid by Paypal, you can report it if not received within a certain amount of time. The seller has to prove that the item has been sent or refund you etc.
What was their feedback like?
I do a lot of buying and selling on Ebay. Rarely have a problem, but it's the real world and stuff happens. Don't panic, don't assume the worst. You haven't paid the earth for your gear and when it arrives, which I'm sure it will, you will soon forget about the minor niggles of delivery problems, which can happen wherever you buy things from. Keep the faith!

Tell them nicely that you will open a PayPal dispute, just to cover your back. Believe me, PayPal will get the money back, the buyer is nearly always given the benefit of the doubt (although I don't think there is any doubt here)

I think you can open a dispute after 10 days and then escalate it after a certain amount of time.
I have done this and when I escalated the claim I got money back the very same day.

Well, I have heard back from them. They are saying that as it's City-Links fault, they are getting a Saturday delivery. Well, it's now 4pm and still no sign. I'll give them til Monday and then report them (I have already threatened them with this).
Their Feedback is 100% and around 560. If was less than 90% I wouldn't buy it.

Twin spin, you say you use dfb sound and light, have used them before but not completely happy with their aftersales service.
I bought a pair of LFX revolvers with controller, couldn't get them working as master slave(nothing in instructions to help), called them and was told to "fiddle" with them and see what happened.
Ended up getting the dip switch settings off this wonderful forum!

Found they're willing to take your money but not great afterwards.
My "local" got his karaoke system from them and had "dramas" with wrong leads and no leads being sent, I dont use them anymore.

The only thing i use dfb now for is my dj cds. Because they do some good deals on them.
Equipment i buy elsewhere.

I've never had any problems with DFB...and I've used them quite a few times.
On the occasions the Item I've ordered was out of stock, they've phoned me up to apologise & offer a more expensive alternative...but at the original price!
No complaints at all...I've always received great service AND great value.

never had problem with dfb,
But i am a regular there as dont live far away about 20 mins, the lads are very helpful and they get extremely busy with the shop and online orders,
Anytime something has been faulty etc they have always helped out, Including when i had a mixer faulty not brought from them they lended me one,
and when i brought my lights out of stock they took it off the rig for a week for me to use, Have to say thats service

R-E-S-U-L-T!
It's finally arrived woohoo! Only took 2 whole weeks. They have offered to repay the postage costs (£12) so I'll let them off this time. I think I was just one of the unlucky ones as all the other feedback says "super-quick delivery" etc...
Will I use them again? Er unless it's an absolutely amazing deal / offer, probably not!
