hi guys just need some advice from some proffesionals:)

I own a pair of JBL G-734 Performance Series 15" & horn.
than the newer trapezoid shaped cabinets, Midrange Level Control: MAX, MIN, MID excellent condition, 200 watts RMS continuous each
(900 watts peak) not sure about the max watts. What are they worth? and are they worth changeing for these

definaetly stick with the jbl's use that £200 and buy some classd bass bins rated at 350 rms to go with the jbl's .

i got jbl eon15g2 great for disco but no good for karaoke
so i am getting some rcf 310a sound really good
so keep ya jbls as skytec are bottom end of the speaker range and jbls are good a good name
if you divide the price of the 4 speakers it comes to 50 pounds a speaker so out of 1 speaker you are getting 50 pounds of sound if you know wghat i meen

The Kinks used a knitting needle, not a screw-driver, so you'd get more of a Skrewface or Nine Inch Nails sound, I reckon :P

Keep the JBL cabs they are miles better than them. Or save another £50 if you can and get yourself some Mackie C300z's

I have just bought some RCF 310as and they sound fantastic:)

Will have to have a look at some of those. I just bought their 705as subwoofer (sounds fantastic too)

After hearing the RCF kit myself. I love their kit It sounds absolutely fantastic. Not heard the 310a but i have the 312a I really like them.

Still tempted to get shut of the Mackies for RCF because i like them better.

Waste of money John - Your Mackies are pretty much brand spanking new, I think you've left it too long to take them back to the shop and you probably won't find any mug, sorry person who'll take them off your hands for near what you have paid?

Why lose that kind of money just because "you like them better" - Are the punters really going to care if you have x make or y (not counting the bleeding ears)?

Well I must admit I was a bit reluctant to change at first as I was using DB 415as and asked my supplier for would you believe a pair of Mackies as he is a big retailer of these,however he said the RCF310a s would be great even though they are only 10" and they are The microphone sensitivity is nothing short of fantastic and providing you are running them with a sub or 2 you can run them flat out with no clipping,just as long as no one screams down the microphone:D

I wont change my mind. Im getting the RCF tops to replace the mackies. Wether punters notice the difference or not. Im not changing my speakers for them. Im changing them because i like them better and im paying for them. As for the mackies im not bothered if i loose at least £250 on them

As for the class D I have heard them and theyre not my cup of tea at all.

To answer the original question, are these any good. No. Not really.

JBL stuff may be shouty and harsh around the mid ranges without a decent EQ but its still streets ahead of the SkyTec stuff. It is what it is - cheap, and it sounds cheap.
