No the ..........g electricity was cut off for 2 hours.
When will the idiots making a really bad job of running this country wake up to the fact that we have a power shortage problem?
Too many people--too many houses--not enough resources.
And it was the hottest day of the year probably---imagine whats going to happen next winter:eek:

The population of Scotland has actually just started increasing in recent years, whereas the previous 2 decades it has been declining.
Anyway, here's food for thought, why doesn't everyone start to use less power, rather than increase the national grid output? There are many ways for all of us to do this, but I'm sure you've heard all this before... :)

The population of Scotland has actually just started increasing in recent years, whereas the previous 2 decades it has been declining.
Anyway, here's food for thought, why doesn't everyone start to use less power, rather than increase the national grid output? There are many ways for all of us to do this, but I'm sure you've heard all this before... :)

I was out doing my regular Wednesday pub quiz in one of the oldest inns in the country, which is said to date from 1388 :eek: :eek: :eek:
The Rolling stones probably watched it being built!

Well, firstly, if you think about it, the power is split between 100-200 people in the venue - what would they all be using, collectively, if they were at home?
Secondly - nearly all discos are run at off-peak times.
