db Technologies SUB 12 Active Subwoofer

Thinking of getting the db Technologies SUB 12 Active Subwoofer.

Anyone heard/used one?

I know you are all going to shout at me to get a 15" but I can't lift them :(

Out of curiosity what would you consider to heavy? I use a pair of peavey st 15's for all my bass end and they work as good as a sub but only weigh about 18 kilos. My wife moves them herself without problem.

18 kilos is great, (my Mackies are 23) most subs are about 40 - 50 which I can't manage alone!

i heard a db sub the other weekend it was the 800w powered and it sounded great he was using it with mackie made the mackies sound good

I have a 12" Db Technologies active sub and I think they are just great:D

I use a RCF ART 705as Active sub myself with 2 mackie SRM450s. The system sounds amazing. This rcf sub is 800 watts RMS comes in at a weight of 37kg

its not too bad to carry either.

Not quite true - most active subs would probably be in that range. A lot of passive cabs weigh less.

My passives weigh a ton :eek: and so does the stupid amp :rolleyes: (selling them on ebay to fund a nice new dual mixer/cd deck :) )

I will definately get the DB tech as soon as funds allow :)

I was very very close to ordering a DB Technologies sub 15 (£500) as it seems to be a serious bit of kit (800w 133spl)> I couldnt find many reviews of them or find anywhere to listen to them. Im sure they are good as they are a sister company to RCF.
In the end I decided to give a Peavey Pro Sub P a test first (at half the price). If I dont like it then I will sell and splash out the extra for the DB.

I did think about DJ Bids but my stuff is very 'entry level' and didnt think any DJS would be intrested :o
