Nah, I was on a boat yesterday (well, ferry) and it was a bit choppy for my liking and the ramp got stuck, ending up in a 90 minute delay...:(

Had some superb foi gras, l'escargot and tournedos Rossini though, so worth going. :D

Normandy (Caen), so went travelling along all the WW2 D-day landing beaches etc and also visited the Bayeaux tapestry. Didn't manage to get to Calvados though, which was fairly close.

I visited the Bayeaux Tapestry (technically the Bayeaux Embriodery) when I was 11. France gets better the further inland you get. Avoid Paris though it's dirty & horrible

I've been to France 7 or 8 times and different places, but just not for a while.

Why the Bayeaux Embroidery? The signs didn't say that, even if it is an embroidery.

Tappestry & embroidery are two totally different methods & as it is stiched onto a backing & not a woven piece it's an embroidery.

It maybe dirty (same as any other big city).....don't agree it horrible....IMO one of the best cities for culture and architecture.....and more important.....food!!

I'm a bit lucky as work has paid for my visit's to Paris and expenses......:)

Well, I have been to WMC twice and will happilo go again. It was brilliant, I made good links with those who run the dance industry, and had some really good fun too. I also attended a couple of seminars where I learned some new DJ skills.

That is not the question, but since you ask, it depends what market you work. Like you, I do a lot of weddings. I also do club nights, and I also do a lot of wedding for a specific type of client. This specific type of client (and the club nights, but they are irrelevant in this discussion) require me to play contemporary dance music for their parties, and there is a considerable benefit to them in me visiting WMC to keep up with the musical trends for this type of gig.

Have you noticed that the clubbing generation are getting married? They are quite demanding too, and we oblige this growing niche of the wedding market very succesfully.
